Children's Mental Health Week
From 1st to 7th February it is Children's Mental Health Week. It is especially important to look after our mental health in our current situation of lockdown. Children have missed out on so much already and we know that they will especially be missing the social aspect of school.
It is important that children are encouraged to talk about their feelings and different ways to keep active and positive during their time at home.
We are introducing a February Challenge for all of pupils to partake in. Everyday children are encouraged to get outside for one hour or walk one mile. This challenge helps us focus on a healthy mind and body.
Mindfulness is another way to promote positive mental health. Our P3/4/5 Class had been enjoying our 12week programme before Christmas and Julieanne has posted a video to celebrate Children's Mental Health Week. The video link is attached below. Just copy and paste into google to access.
